Dan Nelson

Dan Nelson is a professional artist and art instructor. He received his BFA from Calvin College in 1977 and MDiv degree from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1988. Dan has been a freelance illustrator since 1977 and is a past president of the NC Association of Designers and Illustrators (1992-94).

Dan is currently the President of Wall Masters of NC, Inc., a mural painters association and is the Vice Chair of the Board,Visual Art Exchange, a post he has held since 2004. Dan is a noted street performed who produced 8" x 10" foot paintings on location and performs music. He is a three-time winner and twice Featured Artist of the Raleigh Street Painting Festival and was the coordinator for the 2006 Raleigh Street Painting Festival.

Dan is represented by Bev's Fine Arts Gallery in Raleigh.
