Artist Statement
Hudson Street Studio is named for a small house on Hudson Street in Raleigh where my wife Ann lived when we first met. It is a small neighborhood street, winding its way between oak trees and small southern houses built over a generation ago.
I first starting shooting photographs in that neighborhood with a manual Nikon FG camera handed down from my father. For the past fifteen years, I have tried to build on the vision and simplicity of those early shots seen through a beginner's eye. Exhibition dates: January 20-March 16, 2010Venue information: Cameron Village Regional Library is located in the Cameron Village Shopping Center at 1930 Clark Avenue in Raleigh. The VAE Community Exchange Exhibit is in the quiet study room in the front left corner of the second floor (if you are facing the building from the front exterior).
