Phyllis Golden Andrews

Usually my inspiration for a painting comes from some scene that has made me smile. The evident work of man is part of what touches me: rolling hills that have been cultivated, orchards that have been tended and cows that are cared for. While a photograph might record the beauty of the moment it can't express the feeling I have when I look at the scene.

Jenny Buelin

My work is fundamentally about equilibrium: the absolute imbalance that seems to define so much of daily life and the ephemeral moments when a feeling of balance is achieved. Clay offers ingress into an ancient relm of nature's elements: earth, water, fire and air. The act of working with clay through its various stages of plasticity and extremes of multiple firings provides an intrinsic sence of stability because while most everything changes and most everything is out of our control, these elements remain constant.

Nancy Clausen

Nancy's work is inspired by places she’s traveled. She typically works in pastel, the medium she finds best expresses the peace, serenity and beauty of the landscapes she seeks to capture through her art.

Diana Coidan

My work represents attempts to capture moments of inspiration and pass them on to the viewer. Once I discover a truly magical scene my goal is to recreate the very essence of color and light that makes it special. I have an unconscious attraction to blue; therefore most of my pieces display the sky in its many cloud formations and water.

Sarah Mantel

I find my inspiration for paintings everywhere, from my travels, from literature, from music. My desire to travel to and fascination with other countries led me to specialize in English and French in college, and that in turn, fed my interest with how people communicate, whether it be through the oral or written language, usage of symbols, smoke signals, drumbeats or cave dwellings. Often reference to these means of conversing become metaphors for hidden and multiple layers of meaning in my work.
