Tyler Berry

My recent semester abroad in Ethiopia gave me an opportunity to harness these emotions, and hopefully give others the ability to see the grit and splendor that so drastically oppose each other within the everyday life of the country. People live hard, but they also find happiness that gets them through the day, not that much different than the rest of the world. I strive to capture this viewpoint within all of my artwork; raw emotions of life and death transferred on to paper.

Kelly Green

I am intrigued with the mind and subconscious. A fantasy world of creatures with their own mythology has blossomed within my mind, and is beginning to emerge as a full blown universe through my work. The Freak Doody Heads come from another realm and truly seem to make themselves. I sit down with a piece of clay and BANG! A Freak Doody Head appears.

Chelsea Mason

My work is influenced by simple interactions. I am fascinated by how one thing is affected by another, causing something greater. I am interested in the mind's power over the body and how this changes the way we interpret our relationships, our success or failure, our health and our self value. These drawings are intended to be a mirror of the figure's self image instead of what actually exists. I want to disrupt the moments of solitude that harbor anxiety, insecurity and uncertainty and emphasize the beauty in those emotions.

Jackie Schaefer

Content as well as technique have always been important to me. Using the richness of pastels and now acrylic, I explore the subject of WOMAN. I have started with the Greek myths and also incorporate relationships: sister, mother and child, etc. As a child I was intrigued by the women in my extended family. I was a silent observer of their femininity, strength and grace and seek to express this in my Woman Series.

Yuko Nogami Taylor

As I was growing up within the big city of Tokyo, Japan, visual stimulation gave me peace of mind. Today, I live in the Southern United States and I use every aspect of my life as subjects for my paintings. I incorporate pictures of places, childhood memories, and recollections of places visited to create my art. My desire to express myself erupted after living in the United States and struggling to communicate. As a painter, I merge the two cultures in which I daily live and exist. I am interested in creating configurations of unique pieces of visual narratives from all parts of my life, thereby integrating two worlds into one canvas. I strive to use whatever medium necessary to convey the authenticity of my subjects.
