call for artists This annual juried exhibition is VAE's most anticipated of the year, attracting artists from across the region to compete for inclusion and prizes. All works featured in this exhibition have never been exhibited anywhere before and were completed within one year of the entry deadline, July 15. The N.E.W. Show represents a cross section of the newest, most innovative work in the state. This show is open to two and three dimensional works of art executed in any media (see prospectus for size restrictions).

About the Juror:
Ce Scott is the Director of Residencies and Exhibitions at McColl Center for Visual Art in Charlotte, NC. Ce received her BFA from Wayne State University, Detroit in Printmaking with a French minor. She then moved to Charlotte and worked as an artist and educator. She has shown in galleries and museums, regionally and nationally. Her work is in collections in the USA, Japan, and the UK. Ce was awarded a Hoffberger Fellowship from Maryland Institute, College of Art and moved to Baltimore to pursue a MFA in Painting and Installation. After receiving her masters degree, she returned to Charlotte and worked as Arts Reach Director for Community School of the Arts Before joining McColl Center for Visual Art in 1998.
